Refrigerants

A complete and future-ready range of refrigerants

We supply a broad range of synthetic and natural refrigerants, backed by expert advice and practical support. Whether you work with small volumes or large-scale installations, we provide solutions that match your day-to-day needs and future requirements.

Advice from our experts Our refrigerant range Recycling and Regeneration Relevant Legislation and Regulations

European F-gas legislation is becoming increasingly stringent. As a result, availability of refrigerants with a high GWP value is decreasing, while demand for sustainable alternatives is growing. We support you through this transition - reliably and safely, while safeguarding continuity for your business.

Recycling and Regeneration

When dismantling or modifying refrigeration systems, it is mandatory to offer recovered refrigerants to an authorized processing company. We are NIWO-certified and have the appropriate facilities to accept refrigerants and process them in accordance with applicable regulations.

Refrigerants suitable for reclamation are processed so they can be placed on the market again. Non-reclaimable volumes are processed responsibly into reusable materials for other applications. For collection, we use a dedicated recycling cylinder fleet. We are happy to help you find an additional logistics solution if you have larger projects or specific situations.

We also support you with the mandatory documentation, such as a consignment note, both for delivery and for collection.

Relevant Legislation and Regulations

With the entry into force of Regulation (EU) 2024/573, the F-gas rules have been tightened. This regulation accelerates the phase-down of fluorinated refrigerants and encourages the switch to refrigerants with a lower environmental impact. Under the new regulation, the quota system for fluorinated refrigerants - expressed in tonnes of CO2 equivalent - drives the transition to refrigerants with a lower environmental impact.

How does this impact you?

  • Refrigerants with a high GWP value will become scarcer and more expensive
  • Low-GWP alternatives, such as HFOs and natural refrigerants, are becoming increasingly important
  • Supply and work are permitted only for certified companies and technicians
  • The certification requirement is being extended to work involving HFOs and natural refrigerants
  • Leak checks and emission reduction will play a more central role, including mandatory checks after repairs
  • Technicians must have transitioned to the new European certification scheme by 2029 at the latest

For mobile applications, such as vehicle air conditioning, the MAC Directive remains in force.
