Increasing efficiency and quality levels in the glass industry
There are many ways to increase combustion efficiency in glass melting. These include:
Oxygen enrichment
Oxygen jet
Oxyfuel boosting
Heating with oxyfuel only
Using pure oxygen in combustion processes eliminates nitrogen from the process and increases flame temperatures. Solutions with oxyfuel also increase CO2 and H2O levels in the vicinity of the flame. Because these gases contribute greatly to thermal radiation, this makes the operation of gas burners more efficient.
