Production begins with the extrusion of the inner hose. In the next step, it is wrapped with a wire braid in a spinning plant. Since the braid is spooled under a certain tension, the inner tube must be stabilized, otherwise deformation will occur. In the standard process, a supporting cotton fabric is used for this purpose, which, however, requires a second spinning system.
Before entering the spinning plant, the tube passes through a tube cooling plant. The cooling chamber is about 2 m long. In it, liquid nitrogen (LIN) with a temperature of -196 °C is sprayed onto the hose. As it passes through, the hose cools and acquires sufficient stiffness for the subsequent winding of the wire mesh. In our standard hose cooling systems, hoses up to a diameter of 50 mm can be processed. Other sizes are available on request.
