Blow moulding

Blow moulding

The use of liquid carbon dioxide or nitrogen for internal cooling provides significantly more effective heat transfer than chilled air

The cryogenic coolant is injected into the blown part, then evaporates inside the hollow part. The coolant then escapes as a hot gas through the blow pin outlet. This process increases productivity through more effective use of machinery and higher quality of the article produced. The dimensional stability of the molded part is improved as the polymer cools in a controlled manner. The process is best suited for cooling thick-walled parts with long cycle and cooling times.
