Speciality Gases Mixture Configurator - SPECIFY

SPECIFY is a configuration tool designed to help you compile and request a quote for almost any specialty gas mixture Simply select the desired number of components, the gas types, balance gas, cylinder size and certification required and let the platform search for existing products that meet, or are close, to your requirement. Once the desired mixture is identified you can submit a quotation request. If the desired mixture does not currently exist, then you can submit your enquiry through the platform where it will be reviewed and responded to with the feasibility and the end product details.

Specialty gases & Specialty equipment

You can’t stick a label on gas, but sometimes it would be useful. Because when you need a highly specific product for a very demanding purpose, you should identify the best possible source for that product. The HiQ programme is that source. HiQ is the name we at Linde apply to our specialty gases, equipment and services to help you identify what’s best for you. And to get it precisely when you want it. You specify specialty gases because your process demands them, so you expect the care you take to be matched by that of your gas supplier. And while, on the surface, all gases of the same specification should be identical, it is not until things do not perform as they should that your choice assumes real importance.

With dedicated production facilities, accredited analytical laboratories, state-of-the-art logistics and selection procedures as well as purpose-designed and custom-engineered total supply systems, Linde has the infrastructure to put the ‘special’ into specialty gases. Behind all is the combined global expertise and knowledge base of the dedicated HiQ team - experts in the field, with the software tools and networked information to help make informed choices quickly and unfailingly. There's just one word to remember for your specialty gases requirements:

Specialty equipment

The complex processing and instrumentation requirements for industry and education demand products of the highest quality to maintain peak performance. HiQ® specialty equipment is designed to maintain the integrity of your specialty gases between the cylinder and the instrument or process. After all, the quality of your gas can only be as good as your gas supply system.

HiQ cylinder regulators are designed for direct supply connection. Gas supply panels, gas distribution systems, and point of use improve safety by removing cylinders from work space considerations. Gas Generators are available when cylinder supply is not practical.

ECOCYL®. The portable solution!

In many industries, a wide range of analytical techniques are applied. Generally, these are used to carry out emissions measurements, monitor the quality of the process, monitor potentially dangerous situations or check for a safe working environment. All of these monitors need to be tested periodically to ensure they are still working properly. In order to establish whether monitors are functioning properly, gases or gas mixtures are used. The more different components are being monitored, the more gases and gas mixtures are needed to check the equipment and make sure it is working properly.

It is easy to see that when checking dozens or sometimes hundreds of monitor points at a location, a gas mixture in a convenient and easy-to-use packaging is desirable - the more so because various types of equipment are not always stationed on the ground floor but sometimes in places which are harder to reach. A common solution is to supply this gas in a so-called disposable packaging. However, this creates a waste product at the end of the life cycle. In contrast to what the name of implies, this type of packaging may not enter the waste flow. It must be disposed of as chemical waste, incurring substantial cost.

The solution: ECOCYL®

Linde has developed a unique and environmentally-friendly solution: the ECOCYL! The ECOCYL is a small, refillable gas cylinder with fully integrated closure, reducer valve and flow meter, all protected by a fixed cylinder cap. The result is a safe and user-friendly gas cylinder which is ready for immediate use. As a user, you only need to open the closure and choose between one of the available flow ranges. The ECOCYL is easy to move from one monitoring point to another thanks to the hand grip integrated into the cap or the shoulder strap. Its low weight of 2.4 kg also makes it easy to move.

Safety

Thanks to the ECOCYL system developed by Linde Gas Benelux, the centre of gravity of the gas cylinder including reducer valve is in the middle of the cylinder. As a result, the ECOCYL can be easily put down without falling over. It’s good to be safe! Changing the reducer valve when the gas cylinder is empty is also no longer necessary. The empty gas cylinder, including the integrated reducer valve and fixed cap, are accepted by Linde Gas Benelux, checked and refilled for you by fully trained professionals. Which means you also no longer face the problem of getting rid of disposable packaging. The ECOCYL must comply with the same statutory requirements as regular gas cylinders. ECOCYL cylinders are therefore also manufactured in accordance with the European TPED directive.
